The 64-year-old Cannes Film Festival boasts a rich history of excellent poster designs. Here are some personal favorites:

Seven (David Fincher, 1995)

One man falls asleep. Another wakes up. What happens in between?

Taking cues from Stan Brakhage’s 1963 experimental short Mothlight and the opening of Ingmar Bergman’s Persona, Kyle Cooper’s purgatorial title sequence brilliantly anticipates Fincher’s nihilistic moral universe.
